Retail Digital Analyst - Cape Town

Job Purpose:
To establish tracking, monitoring and reporting of all digital channels for the business.
To interpret the data and supply insights to enable the Commercial and Marketing Teams to develop the correct strategies
and tactics to grow the digital channels.

Job Objectives:
Ensure all digital channels are set up to be tracked and monitored accurately and all metrics tagging information to be
documented and communicated - including to all outsourced vendors
Monitor, analyze and report on the performance of marketing campaigns and digital channels, including monthly, weekly and
ad-hoc analysis requests to provide functional management and business stakeholders with regular & relevant scorecards
and reports
Continuously improve metrics consistency, accuracy, performance and reporting capabilities
Analyse day to day digital channel performance to constantly monitor for optimum performance and to be able to react as
soon as possible
Deliver insights to help the digital marketing and commercial community make data-driven decisions and improvements and
identify opportunities for growth
Exhibit a high level of expertise in driving the data strategy across multiple "listening posts" - web sites, surveys, testing, CRM
systems, personalization, market research, etc.
Utilize presentation and business writing skills to communicate to various levels of stakeholders

Minimum requirements
Education
Bachelor''s degree - statistics, mathematics, business science
Experience:
5 to 7 years cumulative digital or web analytics experience
At least 3 to 4 years working with standard digital analysis tools
2 years of experience in advanced web analytics methodologies such as experimentation and testing, competitive analysis,
surveys and market research
3 to 5 years of experience in one or more roles in online ecommerce or online marketing. Familiar with SEO, SEM, email and
paid media optimization strategies
Thought leadership: needs to be on the cutting edge of the digital industry and really love diving into the numbers
Work effectively both independently and as a member of a cross functional team
Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of end users and technical resources
