Roller Machine Operator

SUMMARY:
Masa is currently looking for a Roller machine operator with a construction background to work for a client that is based in Tongaat (KZN).

POSITION INFO:
Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Roller Operator (minimum 1–2 years preferred).
• Valid Roller Operator certification/license.
• Knowledge of roller machine operations, safety procedures, and site protocols.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Good physical stamina and hand-eye coordination.
• Willingness to work overtime or weekends as needed.
• Matric certificate or equivalent (advantageous).

• Operate roller machine to compact earth, aggregate, or asphalt.
• Inspect the roller before use to ensure it is in proper working condition.
• Perform routine maintenance checks and report faults or required repairs.
• Follow all site safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE.
• Read and interpret job orders, site plans, and instructions.
• Communicate effectively with team members and site supervisors.
• Keep records of work performed and machine hours.
• Ensure work areas are kept clean and hazard-free.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations.
