Working hours:
Monday – Thursday: 07:30 – 16:00
Fridays: 07:30 – 14:00

A Well-established firm within the Agricultural sector has an opportunity for an a SAIPA-qualified Accountant to join their team on a permanent base in Equestria, Pretoria-East area

This role is ideal for a newly qualified SAIPA professional or an individual completing their SAIPA articles, seeking exposure to group accounting, trust administration, and full-function financial management in a diverse environment.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum Requirements:

Matric
Completed SAIPA Articles
BCom Accounting or relevant degree
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and tax legislation
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Pastel, Sage, Xero)
Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Strong foundation in accounting principles

Duties will include but not limited to:

Assist with processing accounting transactions, journal entries, and maintaining accurate records
Support the oversight of debtors and creditors
Perform basic reconciliations of balance sheet items (e.g., bank, creditors, stock) under supervision
Help maintain and update the fixed asset register
Assist with preparing management accounts and reports for review
Capture and submit tax returns (Income Tax, VAT, EMP201s) with guidance
Prepare payment packs and support the execution of supplier and statutory payments
Assist in gathering audit documents and responding to auditor requests
Support compliance tasks, including policy adherence and financial controls
Provide assistance with payroll verification and related processes
Support administrative tasks related to CIPC and Annual Returns
Process and maintain accounting records for family entities and trusts
