SPA HYBRID | Receptionist & Back-up Spa Therapist (Pre-Opening)
HOEDSPRUIT - Limpopo (ZA)
Starting Date: 01 August 2023 (for training & induction)
Hours:
- Monday – Sunday (Shifts)
- Must be able to work weekends & all major holidays as per the hotel's operation
- 7-8 days off per month
Reports to: Spa Manager
Package Potential:
- R8,500-00 per month Gross
- 10% Services Commission earned after working back 50% of Basic Salary
- 10% Retail Commission earned.
- Staff meal on duty
- Medical aid contribution (Discovery / single application status only)
- Provident Fund contribution
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
- South African national with clear criminal record
- Own, reliable transport preferred but not essential
- Ability to work shifts & weekends as required (early & late)
- Beautifully groomed and professionally presented - you are an advertisement for the Spa & face of the business when clients walk in
- Certification from a recognized Beauty Training facility with qualifications in either Spa / Beauty / Cosmetology / Holistic Massage
- City & Guilds / ITEC / CIDESCO / CIBTAC / SAAHSP etc.
- At least 3 years spa industry experience post-graduation (not student hours)
- Front desk experience is required as either salon or spa receptionist / administrator / front desk co-ordinator
- Cruise ship employment experience highly beneficial (but not essential)
- Ability to pleasantly and confidently communicate in English with appropriate grammar (reading, writing and speaking)
- Afrikaans language - bonus
- ESP or similar Spa software experience
- Excellent administrative abilities
- Ability to provide legible communication
- Act as back-up spa therapist when operationally required (therapist sick etc.)
- Ability to give timely and excellence spa services at all time including (but limited to): Body Care, Skin Care and Beautifying
- Knowledge of spa procedures and trends
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs
- Ability to promote positive relations with all individuals who approach the Spa
- Ability to perform job functions with minimal supervision
- Knowledge of and ability to sell spa products
SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
- Meet & greet clients entering the spa
- Ensure a neat and organized front of spa
- Perform all administrative tasks assigned by management
- Schedule reservations in a timely manner
- Correspond with management and clients on all relevant platforms (telephone, e-mail etc.)
- Stock control & management
