POSITION INFO:

SAFETY OFFICER & COORDINATOR

An Industrial and Manufacturing Company specializing in structural, steel fabrication, container conversions and remote camp seek a Safety Officer & Coordinator at their premises in Springs, Gauteng.

Educational and Experience requirements:

Relevant Safety Qualification (e.g. Samtrac, NEBOSH etc).
High attention to detail and problem-solving mindset.
Good communication and organising skills.
Ability to multitask and work under minimum supervision.
Ability to think and plan rationally under pressure.
Minimum of 5 years of related experience.

Main Responsibilities (but not limited to these only)

Oversee and enforce all site health, safety and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.
Ensure Full Legal Compliance with OHSA, mine regulations and client specific standards.
Handle correspondence (email, calls and letters)
Assist with scheduling and coordinating of workflows.
Support daily administrative operations
Maintain company database and ensure data accuracy.
Conduct risk assessments, hazard identification and implement corrective actions.
Facilitate toolbox talks, safety meetings and ongoing safety training.
Monitor and maintain PPE compliance and safe work practice across all teams.
