JOB SUMMARY:

A leader in the Agricultural industry is seeking an experienced Sales Representative with a strong technical background to grow their portfolio of crop fertiliser in the Swartland region.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Minimum requirements for the role:

Must have a tertiary qualification in Agriculture (Agronomy, Soil Science, Horticulture
3-5 years’ sales experience in the fertiliser/agrochemical industry is essential
Technical knowledge of the fertiliser/agrochemical industry is required
BASOS/FERTASA certificate will be a distinct advantage

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Selling and marketing of high-end fertilisers into the fruit and cereal industry.
Conducting farm visits and providing technical advice on fertiliser usage and applications at farm level.
Attending farmers days to create product awareness within the area.
Managing and executing product trials.
Researching, preparing and executing a sales plan focused on delivering new and recurring revenue.
Developing and managing the distribution channels for the product range within the region.
Working closely with the technical team regarding the registration of products in line with the regulatory requirements of South Africa.
Creating and implementing business development and customer engagement strategies.
Representing the company, its values and products as well as negotiating commercial proposals.
Generating new business by leveraging existing relationships and building new relationships.
Providing market feedback as well as analysing data to aid in decision making.

Salary package, including benefits, are highly negotiable depending on experience gained
