JOB SUMMARY:
Our client in the Technology space is in the market for a CA(SA) or completed SAICA articles to take on the role as their Senior Financial Accountant. The preferred candidate would have solid experience as a financial accountant and a good understanding of IFRS. Please read the performance area criteria below for a more detailed description of the required responsibilities.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Minimum Requirements:

CA(SA) OR Partially qualified CA(SA)
SAICA articles
3 years+ in finance, experience in source to TB processing, expense and balance sheet analysis and control. Experience in an inventory environment will be beneficial.

Performance Areas (Responsibilities):

Review journals
Review balance sheet control procedures
Identify and escalate any risks
Perform the more technical and challenging reconciliations and analysis where required
Monitor and escalate Sub Ledger and General Ledger differences
Ensure the execution of routine VAT controls
Key support role to ensure IFRS compliance
Staff management
Project manage month ends and other key reporting dates to ensure deadlines are met
Annual statutory audit
Support preparation of reporting presentations
