Senior Accountant

Job & Company Description:
A national, growing petroleum distribution conglomerate seeks an experienced Accountant to join their team in Pretoria East.

In this role you will have the opportunity to gain vast finance experience on a national level.

The purpose of this role will be to support the General Manager and Directors in meeting and exceeding overall financial objectives. You will oversee all activities and staff within the financial department by implementing and ensuring sound
financial practices.

Duties will include, but not be limited to:

• Client and stakeholder engagement
• Prepare and analyse accounts
• Make financial recommendations that assist with revenue growth and cost saving
• Compile financial reports
• Perform internal audits
• Analyse, develop, implement and maintain financial policies and procedures
• Team management
• Solve discrepancies
• Ensure financial control

Education:
BCom in finance or accounting

Job Experience & Skills Required:
Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles is essential
2 to 3 years' post article experience
Strong Pastel Evolution skills
Strong computer literacy and MS Excel skills
Conscious in follow ups and requesting information
Attention to detail
Ability to successfully manage several different tasks simultaneously
Ability to work in a highly pressured and fast paced environment
Team player
Fluent in English and Afrikaans
Own transport is essential
