POSITION INFO:

We are seeking a Senior Automation Tester with a strong background in building and maintaining automation frameworks from scratch. This is an exciting opportunity to join a development-focused team and lead the implementation of automation testing in an environment where it has not yet been established.
You’ll be working in a Java/JavaScript-based AWS environment, alongside developers, with some manual testing currently in place. The ideal candidate will bring a broad understanding of testing tools and frameworks and be able to recommend and implement the most suitable solutions for our setup.

What you’ll do:

  • Senior (7+ years experience)
  • Proven experience in creating automation frameworks from scratch
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages: Java, JavaScript, C#, Python
  • Hands-on experience with automation tools such as: Appium, Playwright, Selenium, IntelliJ, Robot Framework, TestNG
  • Comfortable working in a Cloud environment (AWS)
  • Experience with test management tools: Quality Center (QC), ALM, Azure DevOps, TFS, X-Ray
  • Ability to perform back-end testing using SQL on Oracle and SQL Server
  • Capable of conducting functional testing when required
  • Experience with API testing using tools like Postman, SOAP UI, Rest Assured
  • Exposure to mobile testing (preferably with Appium)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD and version control tools: Jira, Jenkins, Git
  • Comfortable working in an Agile environment, participating in relevant ceremonies

Qualifications:

• Matric
• ISTQB
• Relevant IT/ Testing Qualification
