Senior Bookkeeper (Accountant)

POSITION INFO:
Duties Will Include (But Are Not Limited to):

• Maintain financial records up to balance sheet
• General ledger maintenance
• Accounts receivable and payable processing and reconciliations
• Bank and payment preparation and reconciliations
• Foreign exchange transactions
• Credit card statements and expense claim reconciliations
• Process monthly journals and adjustments
• Maintain the fixed asset register
• Assist with month-end and year-end processes
• Quotations, orders and invoices
• Stock preparation and distribution, and plan and oversee stock takes

• Completed Matric (Grade 12)
• Relevant tertiary qualification in accounting or finance

• 15+ years' experience in an accounting position essential
• Sage or Pastel Evolution knowledge preferred
• Knowledge of foreign transactions
• Proficient in MS packages
• Deadline driven
• Ability to work in a high pressure, fast-paced environment
• Team player

• A solid accounting background and a love for accuracy
• Top-notch communication skills: You’re as comfortable with Excel as you are with emails to Europe
