JOB SUMMARY:
Looking to join a cutting edge Multinational FMCG? We are looking for a Senior Packaging Buyer that demonstrates strong financial and commercial acumen. Experience in leading supplier negotiations directly, sourcing packaging materials and contract management is critical for this position.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Qualifications required:

BCom, BTech, BA or BSc
Studying towards a post graduate degree or diploma is beneficial

Skills and experience required:

3 - 4 years’ experience in a similar position
At least 3 - 4 years’ experience in packaging buying
Experience within a multinational company is required
Product knowledge (packaging - hard and soft) is essential
Excellent interpersonal skills
Capable of building and influencing strong working relationships
Buying, sourcing and negotiating experience are non-negotiable requirements
Strong Excel skills
Strong financial and commercial acumen is required
Excellent negotiation skills

Job description:

Develop, implement and improve purchasing tools and techniques
Develop and design strategy, sourcing and contracting of suppliers
Build and maintain strong client relations
Managing and leading negotiations
Budget preparation
Identify risks and opportunities throughout the sourcing process
Ensuring top supplier quality and service
Work closely with the legal department on designing, verifying and amending contracts
Contract and SLA management
