Our client is looking for a Senior Cloud Architect to lead, coordinate and drive all cloud deployments across their organisation.

As the Senior Cloud Architect, you will play a pivotal role in driving digital transformation by conceptualising architectural approaches, developing hybrid and cloud-first solutions, and ensuring alignment with our enterprise architecture framework. You’ll also provide technical leadership, mentor teams, and implement cloud best practices across platforms and environments.

Duties:

Lead and manage cloud solution architecture across all deployments.
Design high-level architecture and validate solutions against business needs.
Ensure alignment with industry best practices, security, and compliance.
Support and manage cloud infrastructure, monitoring, automation, and backups.
Implement IaaS and PaaS services in Azure including Azure SQL, Databricks, and Data Lake.
Guide DevOps, business continuity, disaster recovery, and infrastructure optimisation.

Job Experience & Skills Required:

Qualifications:

Matric (Grade 12)
B Degree or relevant advanced diploma (NQF level 7)
Microsoft Certified Cloud Architect
Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
Microsoft Specialist: Implementing Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Solutions
Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist

Experience:

8–10 years in a senior technical specialist role
5+ years of Microsoft technology and solutions design experience

Skills & Competencies:

Cloud design and Microsoft Azure architecture
Windows Server OS and virtualisation
Information security and compliance
PowerShell scripting and automation
Azure SQL, Databricks, Data Lake
DevOps, cloud backups, and system monitoring
