JOB SUMMARY:
A dynamic, fast growing Project Management Consulting Company (based in Middelburg, Mpumalanga), focused on projects in the industrial, steel and mining sectors, needs a senior Professional Electrical Engineer to join their dynamic team on exciting EPC/EPCM projects ASAP.
The successful candidate will hold a B Eng/BSc degree in Electrical Engineering, registered with ECSA as Professional Engineer, supported by more than 8 years' experience, and must be able to obtain a certificate of medical fitness to work in mining and plant environments.
This is a full-time position with excellent scope for growth in mega project engineering environments.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Duties & Responsibilities

Project Management.
Client interaction.
Electrical design, making use of the latest technology for Medium and Low voltage systems.
Simulation of electrical medium and low voltage systems.
Supervision of Electrical & Instrumentation engineering teams.
Assisting with Procurement & Construction Management.
Formulating Bills-of-quantity.
Technical evaluation of tenders received.
Quality and cost control.
Contractor & contract management.
Adherence to engineering standards.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

B Eng. / BSc degree in Electrical Engineering, Post graduate qualification an advantage.
Professional registration with ECSA.
More than 8 years working experience as Electrical Engineer.
Knowledge / Expertise of the following:

Project engineering & management.
Protection Co-ordination and Arc Flash Studies.
Understanding and formulating Electrical consumer and cable schedules.
Background in Electrical Network Simulation Software an advantage.
Experience in the metals and/or mining industry an advantage.

COMPETENCIES

High level of computer literacy.
Working knowledge of design packages.
NON-SMOKER.

GENERAL

Candidates must be able to obtain a certificate of medical fitness
