Degree in Human Resources

Requirements

12 Years experience in the engineering or manufacturing industry covering all areas of Human Resources in an Unionised environment
Fundamental understanding of Labour Law, Skills Development, B-BBEE, and Employment Equity legislation and the application thereof.
Must have the ability to relate and work with diverse people from different cultures.
Computer Literacy, with sound knowledge of Microsoft packages, Sage VIP, and SAP.
Experience of and working with a multi-disciplined team approach.
Good report writing skills.
Good presentation skills.

Duties

HR reporting to management on a weekly, monthly, quarterly basis
Conduct training needs analysis in conjunction with line management
Oversee WSP & ATR submission
Prepare DBS EE plan and submission thereof
Prepare Annual EE Reports and submission thereof
Monitor AA targets in line with EE plan
Advise management on disciplinary procedure and ensure the fair and objective execution thereof
Attend monthly union meetings and facilitate employee/union/company communication, manage conflict
Ensure correct application of the TCOE Agreement or any other applicable agreement
Prepare for and attend CCMA for arbitration and conciliation hearings
Develop, maintain and update HR policies and procedures in line with company objective and ensure the effective implementation thereof
Recruitment, selection & placement
Co-ordinate the PM process and manage the retention of talent
Develop a succession plan in conjunction with all departmental managers
Manage the payment of wages and salaries and ensure the payment thereof on time as committed and communicated by the company
