Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer with proven hands-on experience in Software-Defined Wide Area Networking (SD-WAN) to join our team in Bellville. This is a non-negotiable SD-WAN-focused role, ideal for a highly skilled engineer ready to lead enterprise-scale network design, deployment, and transformation projects.
You will play a key role in planning, designing, implementing, and supporting cutting-edge network infrastructure solutions that meet evolving customer and business needs — with a strong focus on next-generation technologies, automation, and SD-WAN innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a subject matter expert in network technologies, particularly SD-WAN.
- Lead solution design, planning, implementation, and ongoing support for enterprise network infrastructure.
- Guide customers in migrating to next-generation network technologies.
- Develop detailed technical documentation, cost analyses, and service descriptions.
- Engage with business stakeholders to align solutions with business continuity and growth.
- Contribute to the development of new network products and services.
- Manage network integration projects from inception to completion.
- Continuously assess and integrate emerging technologies into network strategies.
- Ensure consistent service delivery and maintain high system reliability.
Technical Skills & Experience
- Expertise in SD-WAN (Cisco preferred):
- Template and policy design (centralized & localized)
- Advanced topology configuration
- App-aware routing and QoS
- Enterprise Routing & Switching: Strong hands-on experience with complex network architectures.
- Wireless and Voice Network Experience
- Basic Security & Firewall Skills: Understanding of security principles and integration.
- Telecom and Transmission Knowledge: Foundational understanding of carrier services and infrastructure.
- Project Management: Ability to lead and execute projects independently.
- Analytical and Troubleshooting Skills: Strong diagnostic capabilities across all layers of networking.
- Adaptability: Comfortable with evolving client requirements and dynamic environments.
