Senior Specialist: Business Development (Municipal)

Overview:

Responsible for identifying and winning of new business, through the identification and evaluation of new DPS product opportunities, at new clients and existing clients where the organisation's DPS Networks, specifically DPS presence is not well established, ensuring appropriate solutions are provided in line with the organisational and client growth strategy.
Advise Project Management teams to contributes to functional strategy.
Solves unique and complex problems that have a broad
impact on the DPS business.
Recognised expert within and beyond own function: progression typically restricted on basis of business
requirements.
Manage municipal product sales, proposals, contracts,
and relationships.

Experience:

7 years’ experience in Business Development in ICT Product
Industry.
- Relevant Municipal experience will be added advantage.
- Demonstrated Business Development experience, public sector
industry knowledge, and relationships in municipal government
- Experience selling to public sector owners
- Must be credible and effective in engaging C-level executives both in person and in a virtual environment
- Direct experience developing business strategy and sales tactics to effectively build and capture new business
- Must be able to demonstrate a significant number of contacts and networking in-depth knowledge of the public sector
- Proven track record of quota attainment and experience growing net new pipeline
- Experience working on large public sector projects
- Experience selling software, digital transformation, and/or related technologies
- Experience working with a municipal government,
- Technology background within the municipal government industry
Or
- 9 years’ experience in Business Development in ICT Product
Industry.
- 2 years relevant Municipal experience will be added advantage

Qualification:

3 Year degree/ diploma (NQF 6) in Business/ Commerce
