A leading client is looking for a skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join their dynamic IT team. This opportunity is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on expert in Azure, virtualisation, and enterprise IT infrastructure who thrives in complex environments and enjoys collaborative, cross-functional work.

This role plays a critical part in ensuring the stability, security, and optimisation of the server and cloud infrastructure across the organisation. Candidates with a background in cloud architecture, infrastructure performance management, and enterprise-level support will be highly regarded.

Key Duties:

• Maintain and optimise enterprise server infrastructure, ensuring high availability and security
• Troubleshoot and resolve IT infrastructure issues both remotely and on-site
• Configure and manage Azure resources, monitor performance, and manage costs
• Oversee backup, secrets, and network configurations in Azure and on-prem environments
• Collaborate with internal IT teams and external service providers
• Produce and maintain architectural diagrams and documentation
• Deliver top-tier support and customer service across all levels
• Support compliance with policies, procedures, and ITIL-based standards
• Participate in after-hours support when required

Key Requirements:

• Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• 5–7 years of hands-on IT infrastructure support experience
• Azure Solutions Architect certification (highly desirable)
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Active Directory/Entra, and Group Policy
• Proficiency with PowerShell for scripting and automation
• Experience with virtualisation platforms (e.g. VMware)
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Customer-focused with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
