SUMMARY:
A multinational, JSElisted auditing and accounting firm is seeking an experienced Senior Tax Consultant to join their Cape Town team. This forward-thinking organisation is known for innovation, excellence, and a dynamic workplace culture that empowers its professionals to lead from the front.

POSITION INFO:
The Role:
In this pivotal position, you will take ownership of complex tax matters and lead a skilled team to deliver top-tier compliance, advisory, and reporting across the group. You'll serve as a key point of contact for SARS interactions, tax legislation updates, and strategic decision-making across borders.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage corporate income tax returns, reviews, and submissions
Oversee provisional tax calculations and submissions
Lead engagements with SARS, handling audits, reviews, and queries
Draft and review formal objections and appeals
Supervise dividends tax and VAT compliance reviews
Track and interpret tax legislation and ensure internal compliance
Contribute to Africa tax compliance and regional tax projects
Manage and mentor a high-performing tax team
Drive ongoing process improvements
Interpret and implement legislative changes with minimal disruption

Minimum Requirements:

BCom or relevant Tax qualification (Diploma or Degree)
Post-graduate qualification in Tax – advantageous
5–8 years of corporate tax experience
Solid expertise in corporate income tax
SAIT registration – highly beneficial
Demonstrated team management and leadership experience
