POSITION INFO:
Minimum Qualification:

• B.Tech / B.E. / IT Diploma

• Design and execute test plans, scenarios, scripts, and procedures for manual testing of insurance applications
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand product requirements and business processes
• Identify, record, document, and track defects in the application using appropriate tracking tools
• Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved and ensure that existing functionalities are not affected
• Validate data according to insurance policies, plans, and regulations to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Create and maintain detailed test documentation, including test cases, test scripts, and test reports
• Execute test cases and analyze results to ensure that the software meets or exceeds specified standards and end-user requirements
• Participate in requirement reviews, design reviews, and other quality assurance checkpoints
• Mentor and train junior testers, sharing best practices and ensuring adherence to testing methodologies
• Continuously improve testing processes by identifying areas for enhancement and recommending solutions 01
• Coordinate with automation testers to identify areas that can be automated and provide suitable test cases for automation
• Ensure the security, reliability, and performance of insurance applications by conducting various types of testing, including functional, integration, system, and user acceptance testing
• Monitor and report on the status of testing activities, providing regular updates to the project team and management
• Stay updated with industry trends, tools, and best practices in software testing, especially within the insurance domain

• Proficiency in Software Testing Principles: Deep understanding of various testing methodologies, including functional, regression, integration, and acceptance testing.
• Test Case Design: Ability to design comprehensive test cases and scenarios to cover all possible use cases and edge cases
• Bug Tracking and Reporting: Expertise in using bug tracking tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or Redmine to document and manage defects effectively
• Test Management Tools: Proficient in tools like TestRail, Quality Center, or Zephyr for managing test cases, plans, and reports
• Understanding of SDLC and STLC: In-depth knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle and Software Testing Life Cycle to plan and execute tests accordingly
• Manual Testing Techniques: Skilled in exploratory, ad-hoc, and structured testing to uncover defects that automated tests might miss
• Basic Knowledge of Databases: Familiarity with SQL and database concepts to validate and manipulate data during testing
• Basic Scripting Knowledge: Understanding of scripting languages like Python, JavaScript, or Shell scripting for minor automation tasks and test data preparation
• API Testing: Ability to test APIs using tools like Postman or SoapUI to ensure proper communication between software components
• Industry-Specific Knowledge: Familiarity with the specific industry domain (e.g., finance, healthcare, e-commerce) to understand the business requirements and user expectations
• Regulatory Compliance: Understanding of relevant regulatory standards and compliance requirements that apply to the software being tested
