SUMMARY:
A South African leader in freight logistics is looking to employ a suitably qualified and experienced shipping controller to join their team.

POSITION INFO:
Deliverables:

Administrate shipping volumes when required.
Process booking queries from shipping.
Manage shipping line allocations on a daily basis.
Manage daily drop-offs and liaise with the relevant shipping lines / adjust seasonal forecast info
Administrate weekly forecasts with the shipping lines.
Administrate allocations from shipping lines.
Negotiate additional space with shipping lines when required.
Negotiate freight rates and free time with service providers.
Manage live volume report and HBL invoicing report.
Update freight comparison as per the GoGoal
Must have leadership qualities and handle high stress environment
Must have ability to negotiate directly with shipping lines.
Must be able to handle pressure and stress.
Must have advanced interpersonal skills.
Must be able to handle conflict.
Must be able to travel.

AdditionalÂ Experience Preferable:Â Â

Working knowledge of the shipping / logistics industry
Exposure to the perishable industry
Grade 12
Degree / Diploma preferable
