Software Tester

SUMMARY:
A client of ours is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Software Tester to join their dynamic team based in Century City, Cape Town. This is an excellent opportunity for a quality-focused professional with a solid background in software testing—ideally within the Supply Chain or Logistics industry—who is passionate about delivering high-performing, reliable software solutions.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct various types of software testing, including manual, automated, functional, regression, and performance testing.
• Work closely with Developers and product teams to ensure that requirements are fully tested and defects are identified and resolved.
• Develop, document, and maintain comprehensive test cases, test plans, and defect reports.
• Participate actively in Agile and Scrum development cycles.
• Continuously contribute to improving testing procedures, tools, and quality assurance standards.

• 2–3 years of professional experience in software testing, preferably within the Supply Chain, Logistics, or related industries.
• Solid understanding of software development and QA methodologies, including Agile/Scrum.
• Practical experience with testing tools such as Selenium, Jira, and TestRail.
• A relevant tertiary qualification (National Diploma, Degree, or equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• Exceptional attention to detail and a methodical, structured approach to testing and issue tracking.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly report on findings and collaborate across departments.
• Proven ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and take ownership of tasks.
• Committed to upholding high quality standards and following strict testing procedures.
• Willingness to proactively contribute to the improvement of QA processes and tools.

• Experience with testing systems in international Supply Chain, Freight Forwarding, or Logistics environments.
• Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and scripting.
• Experience with API testing and integration testing.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and continuous testing practices.
• Awareness of regulatory and compliance standards in software development environments.
