SUMMARY:
A client of ours is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Software Tester to join their dynamic team based in Century City, Cape Town. This is an excellent opportunity for a quality-focused professional with a solid background in software testing—ideally within the Supply Chain or Logistics industry—who is passionate about delivering high-performing, reliable software solutions.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct various types of software testing, including manual, automated, functional, regression, and performance testing.
Work closely with Developers and product teams to ensure that requirements are fully tested and defects are identified and resolved.
Develop, document, and maintain comprehensive test cases, test plans, and defect reports.
Participate actively in Agile and Scrum development cycles.
Continuously contribute to improving testing procedures, tools, and quality assurance standards.

Primary Requirements:

2–3 years of professional experience in software testing, preferably within the Supply Chain, Logistics, or related industries.
Solid understanding of software development and QA methodologies, including Agile/Scrum.
Practical experience with testing tools such as Selenium, Jira, and TestRail.
A relevant tertiary qualification (National Diploma, Degree, or equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly report on findings and collaborate across departments.
Proven ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and take ownership of tasks.
Committed to upholding high quality standards and following strict testing procedures.
Willingness to proactively contribute to the improvement of QA processes and tools.

Advantageous Skills & Experience:

Experience with testing systems in international Supply Chain, Freight Forwarding, or Logistics environments.
Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and scripting.
Experience with API testing and integration testing.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and continuous testing practices.
Awareness of regulatory and compliance standards in software development environments.
