SUMMARY:
Our client, a prominent force in the steel construction sector, is seeking a talented and motivated Structural Draughtsman to join their forward-thinking and dynamic team. POSITION INFO:
Prepare detailed structural drawings for mining infrastructure and other steel-based structures
Maintain accurate document control and manage drawing revisions within a professional engineering team
Collaborate closely with structural engineers on the design and detailing of steel structures
Review and interpret structural and fabrication drawings for steel structures and building projects
Identify and flag any discrepancies, clashes, or errors in drawings, and coordinate with the design team to resolve them
Ensure all drawings and detailing work align with relevant industry codes, standards, and project specifications
Provide technical drafting support to project managers, fabrication teams, and on-site personnel throughout the project lifecycle
Skills & Experience:
Minimum 2 years’ experience with Tekla Structures
Strong knowledge of steel structures, connection details, and load paths
Proven ability to read and interpret complex structural and fabrication drawings
Qualification:
Matric and Draughting Certificate
Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
