A dynamic Engineering Consulting company offering professional services to the public and private sector in South Africa and abroad, requires the full-time services of a Structural Engineer to join their multi-disciplinary team of engineers at their offices in Cape Town.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:
Performing the design of structures with limited oversight
Working with other disciplines on multidisciplinary projects
Allocate and review work performed by draughtspersons
Take responsibility for work performed and ensure quality control
Work on multiple projects simultaneously
Facility condition assessments
Construction administration and supervision
Work in a collaborative and growth-focused environment with an open-door policy.

Key Requirements:
Minimum BSc / B Eng. Degree in Civil Engineering
Registered with ECSA as a Candidate Engineer recommended
Experience: 3 to 5 years’ relevant experience

Experience & Expertise Required:
Design experience in reinforced concrete, structural steel and masonry structures for a variety of project types in the municipal, residential, commercial and industrial sectors.
Innovative and keen to learn.
Must be able to communicate fluently in English.
Medically fit and willing to work on construction sites.
Minimum Code B (08) driver’s license.
Willing to relocate to Cape Town.

Structural design software proficiency required:
Prokon
Proficiency in producing construction drawings using:
AutoCAD
Revit
Beneficial Skills:
Rebar detailing in Probar 2D

Package & Remuneration
Negotiable depending on qualifications and experience
