JOB SUMMARY:
Well known pharmaceutical company based in Johannesburg North has an exciting opportunity for a Supply Chain Coordinator. Individual must have a relevant qualification and SAP computer skills.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Act as liaison between global SCM and local business unit on stock demand and supply within given portfolio
Manage inventory and safety stock levels according to given mandate
Manage local service providers and negotiate with material suppliers
Work at plant level with controlling and applying material replenishment strategies
Update forecasts into SAP / APO system on monthly basis
Maintain SAP daily production, forecasting and scheduling alerts
Have strategic procurement sourcing skills and be able to do pricing negotiations
Raise awareness on stock risks to marketing and sales as and when required
Manage SCM systems and adhere to given KPI’s
Focus on potential cost and risk drivers within procurement function
Raise and check Purchase Orders to suppliers
Follow up on international freight shipments in transit on orders
Prepare and maintain documents with forwarders
Prepare weekly reporting and detailed purchasing transactions
Understand and assist with regulatory and QA compliance requirements

Grade 12 Certificate
Tertiary education in Supply Chain Management or equivalent
Min 5 years’ experience in Procurement & Supply Chain
Good experience in Excel as well as working knowledge with Excel Pivots and Vlookups
SAP User Certified Accreditation (recognised institution)
SAP - Min 5 years’ experience working with good knowledge of MRP and Masterdata
SAP Vendor management, stock & raw material forecasting
SAP Delivery performance, MRP exception monitoring and alerts
SAP materials master data creation and maintenance
Good knowledge of Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR) & QA requirements
