POSITION INFO:
TRAINEE STORE MANAGER/QUEENSTOWN– This role will assist in overseeing the daily operations of our Client in the Food Wholesale Industry, ensuring that the store runs smoothly, efficiently, and profitably. The role requires a hands-on leader with strong communication skills, and a willingness to learn and grow within the industry.
Minimum Requirements:
Grade 12
A passion for Retail and Customer service
Ability to lead/Supervisor staff
MUST BE proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Strong business acumen and customer-focused approach
High level of integrity and professionalism
Organised and detail-oriented
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure smooth day-to-day store operations including stock control, receiving, and dispatch.
Implement and maintain effective inventory management practices to minimize losses and overstocking.
Monitor and optimize store layout and merchandising strategies to enhance customer experience and maximize sales.
Drive sales targets and profitability through effective product placement, pricing, and promotions.
Foster a positive, disciplined, and productive work environment.
Ensure that all customers – wholesale and walk-in – receive outstanding service.
Resolve escalated customer issues promptly and professionally.
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and hygiene standards.
Maintain security and loss prevention protocols across the store.
Salary: Market related depending on experience
