Test Department Manager (Electronics)

Together with our client, an electronic manufacturing company in Pretoria East we are recruiting for a Test Department Manager (Electronics). The Ideal Candidate needs to have 2 – 4 years of experience gained in a production testing and fault-finding environment and must hold a National Diploma or B Tech in Electronics or Electrical (Light Current) qualification.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensuring that the products that are tested conform to all specifications as stipulated in the relevant test procedures.
• Building and maintaining test equipment for production testing.
• Ensuring the smooth running of the test department by managing resources in such a way that all targets are met.
• Ensure smooth running of the After Sales Department.
• Provide technical support to clients/engineers.
• Setting up, building, and maintaining various test jigs as per ATP and in accordance with the client’s standards and procedures.
• Status reporting, accurate recording of Pass/Fail rates

Skills and Competencies

• Sound knowledge of National Instruments equipment
• Excellent Computer proficiency
• Fluent in English
• Valid driver’s license and own transport
• Excellent communication skills.
• Good administration skills and discipline.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Willing to work shifts

Required Minimum Qualifications

• Matric
• National Diploma or B Tech in Electronics or Electrical (Light Current)
• Minimum of two years of experience gained in a production testing and fault-finding environment

Salary: R 30 000.00 – R 40 000.00 CTC per month
