SUMMARY:
We are seeking a qualified Town Planner with expertise in bulk infrastructure projects to join our client's team for a 36 months contract.

The successful candidate will lead spatial planning, ensure regulatory compliance, and support the delivery of infrastructure projects.

POSITION INFO:
Our client in the Engineering sector is looking for a Town Planner to join their team for a project in KwaZulu Natal, Kwa Dukuza.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

• Degree or Diploma in Town Planning, Urban Planning, or related field.
• Full registration as a Professional Planner with SACPLAN (non-negotiable).
• 5+ years of experience in town planning for bulk infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of spatial planning frameworks and regulatory requirements.

• Develop and implement spatial development plans for bulk infrastructure projects (e.g., water, sanitation, roads).
• Conduct site analyses and feasibility studies to inform project planning.
• Ensure compliance with municipal, provincial, and national planning regulations.
• Coordinate with stakeholders, including government authorities and communities, to align project goals.
• Prepare and submit planning applications, reports, and supporting documentation.
• Provide expert advice on land use, zoning, and sustainable development.
• Monitor project progress and ensure alignment with spatial development frameworks.
