Signa Opportunity is recruiting unemployed youth for quality workplace experience through the Youth Employment Service (YES) initiative.
About the YES Initiative
The initiative was launched by the President in 2018 and is a partnership with the government and labour department to collectively devise a national plan to build economic pathways for South Africa’s youth by creating workplace opportunities for South African youth over a period of 12 months.

Position: Trainee Hub Supervisor

Stipend: R6 700.00

Location: Midrand

POSITION INFO:
Job Purpose

This is a developmental role, designed to build practical experience in client services, office
management, and stakeholder engagement/management.
The candidate will support operational coordination, ensure client and SME satisfaction, and help run
an efficient, welcoming space for entrepreneurs.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Hub Operations & Facilities Management

Assist in the daily running of the Hub: open/close procedures, ensure the space is clean and presentable, tech readiness
Manage bookings for desks, boardrooms, and event space
Prepare spaces for meetings, trainings, and events
Ensure that amenities (coffee, water, Wi-Fi, etc.) are available and functional

2. Business Assessment Support

Support the setup and facilitation of SME onboarding
Liaise with SMEs to gather documentation and schedule support sessions
Work with specialist service providers to coordinate support delivery
Track SME engagement and feedback

3. Front Desk & Client Service

Welcome walk-ins, answer questions, and promote Hub services
Register entrepreneurs and visitors, manage daily attendance and usage
Help with basic client queries and escalate issues where necessary.

4. Admin & Reporting

Maintain accurate records of daily Hub activities, SME bookings, and service provider appointments.
Assist with monthly reporting and usage summaries.
Support the marketing/social media content by capturing activity photos and short writeups (optional).

5. Learning & Professional Development

Attend all training and induction sessions.
Work with mentor/supervisor to complete development tasks and assignments.
Participate in weekly check-ins and feedback sessions.

Requirements:

South African Unemployed youth between the ages of 18 and 34.
Must not have participated on the YES programme before.
Matric
Proficiency in English
Self Starter
Good Time Management
Process Oriented
Able to Develop New Business Relationships
Good/Fair Understanding of Business Principles
