JOB DESCRIPTION
The Waste Control Division currently has a vacancy for a motivated, professional and organized Transport Clerk to join their team. The Transport Clerks` primary purpose is to oversee bookings and to liaise with Waste Control customers to ensure smooth operation and that the requirements of the Waste Control clients are met.
He/she will also be required to:
- Manage email and phone bookings
- Ensure that client bookings are confirmed
- Ensure that the staff daily allocation schedule is kept updated
- Accurately capturing of the scrap delivery notes
- Scan Documents to clients
- Update the Sales Team with Carry Over Reports at all times
- Ensure highest possible customer service levels
- Ensure Occupational Health and Safety requirements are adhered to
QUALIFYING CRITERIA
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Previous Transport Clerk experience will be an added advantage
- Transport Management or similar qualification will be an added advantage
- Basic Computer skills (MS Word, MS Excel and Microsoft Office)
- Working knowledge of vehicle tracking systems
- Code 08 driver’s license with own vehicle essential
- Excellent communication, telephone & organizational skills
- Ability work independently and within a team

- Able to analyse and implement verbal instructions.
- Ability to multi-task and manage demanding workload in a pressurised environment.
- Ability to meet deadlines and deliver results (time management).
