Job Title: Transport Planner

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Competent in Microsoft Office, and Transport Management Systems
• Prior experience with Transport Management Systems including Operational Management
• Solid understanding of basic transport and operational principles
• Ability to Plan & Schedule Transport Requirements for Imports and Export. Have excellent attention to detail
• Ability to establish and maintain good client/supplier relationships, both internally and externally at all levels
• Ability to manage team and enhance teamwork
• Excellent interpersonal and effective verbal, written and listening skills
• Time management skills
• Calm, confident manner to handle potentially uncomfortable conversations
• Proactive, organised and able to multitask and work well under pressure
• Computer skills including the ability to operate computerized transport systems, spreadsheet and word-processing programs at a highly proficient level
• Participative and able to work as part of the team
• Professional in appearance and flexible
