We are seeking a skilled Transport Planner to join our team. Must have over 6 years of experience in logistics and transportation. Proficient in Microsoft Office and Transport Management Systems.

POSITION INFO:

Job Title: Transport Planner

Seniority Level: Mid Career (Above 6 yrs exp)

Reporting to: Transport Manager

Duties and Responsibilities:

Competent in Microsoft Office, and Transport Management Systems
Prior experience with Transport Management Systems including Operational Management
Solid understanding of basic transport and operational principles
Ability to Plan & Schedule Transport Requirements for Imports and Export. Have excellent attention to detail
Ability to establish and maintain good client/supplier relationships, both internally and externally at all levels
Ability to manage team and enhance teamwork
Excellent interpersonal and effective verbal, written and listening skills
Time management skills
Calm, confident manner to handle potentially uncomfortable conversations
Proactive, organised and able to multitask and work well under pressure
Computer skills including the ability to operate computerized transport systems, spreadsheet and word-processing programs at a highly proficient level
Participative and able to work as part of the team
Professional in appearance and flexible
