Underwriting and Financial Analytics Associate, Real Estate

SUMMARY:
An office space and workspace solutions company requires the above to work closely with the CEO and Senior Management Team ensuring that all financial modelling functions are performed for new deals and roll outs within this real estate finance environment.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum requirements for the role:

• Financial qualification or related qualification is essential for the role.
• The company is happy to look at employing an actuary who has no work experience for this role.
• Previous experience having worked in investment banking, private equity, management consulting, commercial real estate or corporate finance is preferred.
• An understanding of asset management is preferred.
• Must have strong capabilities in Excel, financial modelling, and PowerPoint presentations.
• Must have impeccable and concise communication and presentation skills, verbal and written.
• Must be able to consistently meet deadlines.
• Must have strong time management skills and experience running multiple projects at a time.
• Knowledge of Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) would be a plus.

• Working closely with the CEO and senior management team ensuring that all financial modelling functions are performed for new deals and roll outs within this real estate finance environment.
• Performing all financial analysis pertaining to the real estate transactions and financial modelling and as the technical expert will oversee deal underwriting, portfolio-wide reporting, deal analytics, and market research that drives business intelligence and the expansion within the region.
• Structuring and advising on financial modelling of transactions.
• Liaising with owners and or senior management regarding corporate financial performance.
• Drafting and presenting investment committee memos for executive approval.
• Conducting market research for new and existing markets.
• Performing deal underwriting, benchmarking and overall pipeline and portfolio analytics.
• Supporting and maintaining systems for regional and territory portfolio management.
