Job Description

Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for the following:

Conduct dimensional and design compliance checks on fabricated base plates against approved drawings.
Produce detailed 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD for pump orders, tenders, and quotations.
Finalize general and sectional arrangement drawings upon job file approval.
Assist with detailed, scale-accurate drawings where required.
Conduct compliance checks on fabricated base plates against approved designs.
Maintain both manual and digital records of all drawings, including revision control and transmittal registers.
Implement approved design changes and ensure relevant departments are informed.
Assist various departments with technical issues and drawing support.
Manage drawing files and maintain a structured filing system.

Qualifications

Diploma in Drafting Design

Skills

1–3 years of experience in a drafting or technical drawing role
Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D/3D) and general computer skills
Inventor experience is essential and experience on Vault is beneficial
Strong mechanical and technical knowledge
Ability to interpret 2D/3D mechanical drawings and specifications
Knowledge of dimensional tolerances, machining specifications, and bolt patterns
Familiarity with measuring tools like verniers, calipers, micrometers, etc
Understanding of alignment, datum points, and centerline accuracy
Strong quality control and inspection abilities, especially on base plates
