Van Assistant

SUMMARY:

• The Van Assistant will support the driver in ensuring the safe, timely, and efficient delivery and collection of goods. The ideal candidate must be reliable, responsible, and capable of assisting with loading, unloading, and navigating delivery routes.
• Assist the driver with route navigation and delivery schedule
• Load and unload goods from the van safely and efficiently
• Ensure items are delivered in good condition and match delivery notes
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
• Adhere to all road safety and company policies
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vehicle
• Assist in daily vehicle checks and report any issues to the driver or supervisor

POSITION INFO:

• Grade 12 / Matric Certificate
• Valid Code 10 Driver’s License with PDP
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role (delivery or logistics environment)
• Clear criminal record
• Good communication skills
• Reliable and punctual
• Ability to work in a team
• Physically fit and able to lift heavy items
• Attention to detail and basic paperwork skills
