Qualifications / Requirements:

• Grade 12 with Mathematics and Science / Technical N3 Mathematics and Science
• Written and spoken English
• Minimum 1 to 3 years working experience repairing all industrial related equipment will be an advantage
• Must be willing to occasionally work extended hours and on weekends

Key Performance Areas:

• Receive incoming machines with associated job card either issued by the Manager/ Foreman or self-collection
• Check job card for correct machine information e.g. auxiliary equipment and accessories
• Examine machine for general condition and visual external damage and record findings on card
• Test and or strip machine and clean components in preparation for evaluation
• Examine and evaluate components, identify and list part numbers, description and quantity required on job card
• Hand job card back to the Administrator
• Repair upon acceptance of quote from Customer
• Carry out comprehensive test of machine to ensure correct and acceptable operation
• Thoroughly clean machine and sign off job card
• Return machine to allocated area, and hand job card back to Workshop Administrator
• Monitor and maintain safety regulations and standards in the workshop
• Monitor and maintain housekeeping standards
• Safe and correct handling and storage of all tools and equipment
• Responsible use of safety equipment and protection equipment
• Adhere to procedures, including levels of authority, in order minimise shrinkage, theft and wastage
• Provide training to third party repair agents when required
