Position Available: YARD SUPERVISOR (Transport Company)

Requirements:
- Code 14 license for at least 5 years (previous Code 14 driver advantage)
- Healthy and Energetic Male Candidate
- Computer literate
- Management skills / Management experience
- Previous Yard supervisor skills / Previous experience essential
- Mechanically orientated

Duties (including but not limited to):
- Oversee daily operations in the yard
- Safety compliance
- Smooth coordination between departments
- Ensure the yard is organised and accessible for customers, staff, drivers and trucks / trailers.
- Ensuring employees follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organised work environment in every department.
- Ensure trucks are equipped with correct equipment for securing loads
- Driver's testing of all new applicants
- Strong organisational and planning skills
- Leadership and communication skills
- Problem-solving skills
- Optimising fleet scheduling
- Willingness to work overtime if needed
- Ability to work independently while still maintaining to clearly communicate with management.
- Ability to work under pressure
- Honest and reliable
- Actively supervise and monitor operational activities within the yard
- Ensuring compliance with transportation laws and regulations including safety protocols.
- Ensuring the safety of personnel and equipment within the yard.
- General daily functions and duties.
