Head of Consumer Sales

SUMMARY:
This global manufacturing concern currently seeks an experienced Sales Executive, reporting to the Group Sales Director, to:

POSITION INFO:

• Manage the sales of the groups products and services nationally in order to ensure consistent and profitable growth in sales revenues through positive planning, deployment and management of Sales staff.
• Identify objectives, strategies and action plans to improve short and long term sales and earnings and implement accordingly.

Minimum Requirements:

• National Diploma in Marketing, Sales or Business Management.
• Minimum 10 years sales experience of which pref automotive manufacturing background.
• Minimum 3 years at a Senior Management level.
• Knowledge of MS Office - Excel, SAP, Cognos (Analytics).

KPA''s:

• Provide leadership to the department through goal setting, capabilities development, performance feedback and career planning.
• Help recruit and retain competent and high performing staff in order to ensure departmental service delivery and achievement of departmental goals.
• Collaborate with Senior Sales Management in establishing and recommending realistic sales goals for the assigned geographic area in order to increase market share.
• Develop specific plans to ensure revenue growth in all products.
• Ensure the implementation of marketing strategies.
• Develop national sales programs and ensure implementation through the development & implementation of field sales action plans.
• Analyse trends and results.
• Monitor and report on competitor activities and pricing.
• Maintain sales volume, product mix and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators and competitors.
• Monitor customer preferences to determine focus of sales efforts.
• Assist with assessing marketing potential of new and existing channel distribution and business development/locations/stores.
• Manage assigned geographic sales area to maximise sales revenue and meet corporate objectives.
• Perform sales activities on major accounts and negotiate sales price and discounts utilising prevailing pricing model.
• Accurately forecast annual, quarterly and monthly volume and revenue streams.
• Monitor and report on sales achievement and regional budget spend.
• Review expanses and make cost saving recommendations.
• Assist sales staff in establishing personal contact and rapport with customers.
• Regular local travel and occasional international travel.
