Duties:

• Support the Parts Supervisor in a constructive manner, ensure that the constant supply of parts to the technicians is properly administered and executed.
• Ensure all parts slips are actioned fast and efficiently
• Ensure all parts picking that are picked are checked and recorder before packing
• Perform all other reasonable requests made by the Parts Supervisor

Qualifications / Skills:

• Qualified, Trade-tested, and experienced Toolmakers (new projects and tool maintenance, repair, and modification) is essential.

• In depth knowledge of grinders, lathes & milling machines
• Tool, Jig & Die Maker Trade
• Previous industry / product related experience preferential Essential is the applicants experience on Tool development, fabrication, maintenance, understanding of manufacturing techniques & 5S processes; principles of continuous improvement, fundamental financial/cost concepts.
• Experience in project management/project team participation – inclusive of working to tight production/project targets, is essential to this position.
• Adherence to Project timeline and ability to work independently.

Responsibility

• Responsible for development, maintenance, repair, &
• improvement to all tooling dies, jigs, fixtures and fittings for press tools, CNC equipment in line with production and customer requirements to support business objectives.
• Support new tooling division for new product development, launch and introductions to ensure the robustness of product builds. Work on many phases or sub-tasks of projects or entire projects of moderate complexity, results impacting on project completion
  

Qualification / Skills:

• Min. N3 (and matric)
• Must understand and be able to read engineering drawings
• Basic understanding of GD&T
• In-depth knowledge of CNC Machines
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of Technical drawing software packages, e.g. Mastercam, viscam , AutoCAD, etc.
• In-depth knowledge of Grinders, lathes & milling machines
• Experience on Fanuc controls (milling machines)
• Master cam experience is essential (Min. 3 years)
• Min. 3 years’ experience operating CNC milling machines
• Must be able to use the basic measuring interments (i.e. Vernier, micrometre, dial indicator)
• Programming G- code & Mastercam
