Purpose of the Job:

The Executive Financial Manager is responsible for accurate financial reporting to stakeholders, enhancement of profitability and providing business advice at all levels of the Company. The incumbent will be accountable for supporting the finance department’s objectives of sound financial internal controls with priority to compliance to all internal policies and procedures and compliance to all relevant external legislation, Rheinmetall Accounting Manual and IFRS.

General:

• Month end financial results and preparation of disclosure information including projects
• Application of IFRS15 principles to all sales transactions before invoicing;
• Understanding of product and project costing as well as inventory valuation;
• Compilation of workings for budgets, forecasts and prognoses for company on specific costs based on sales as well as projects;
• Identification of risks which could have a financial implication for the company
• Liaison and assistance in annual external audit process;
• Assist with business decisions to ensure economically viable and profitable transactions to provide company with profitable or strategic return including reporting on actual and expected contract margins;
• Monthly reporting on all key financial information (stock, costing, costs, assets etc.);
• Develop, implement and modify financial policies, practices and usage of ERP system;

Project Responsibilities:

• Involvement in major RDM contracts from initial review meetings up to final execution of sales;

• Fully computer literate (word, Excel, PowerPoint) and knowledge of ERP systems (preferably SAP S/4 Hana).
• Working knowledge of IFRS accounting guidelines and evidence of technical competencies in recent IFRS standards.
• Ability to apply skills across a broad spectrum of financial disciplines (costing, accounting, asset management, etc.).

• Ensure material supply to Projects
• Maintain the MRP with comparing this to the call-offs received from the customer
• Order runs to all relevant suppliers as per given date
• Ensure that suppliers receive these orders at the correct time
