Job Description:
Blackhawk is looking for a junior software developer to join our team. While at least 2 years of professional experience is required, this position is a great opportunity for professional growth for someone looking to grow their development skills with a mature team of engineers. This is a hybrid role, with 1-2 days per week on-site.
As a developer, you will be part of a team focused on establishing end-to-end solutions in a fast pace agile environment focused on solutions for our clients mission operation needs. From developing custom code solutions, to integrating low code/no code applications you will use the latest technical tools and skills to establish and maintain our clients applications. The team utilizes a DevOps based agile approach to deliver new and maintain existing functionality in a cloud-based environment.
Required skills:
2+ years of experience designing, modifying, developing, writing, and implementing software programming applications
Experience using back-end and front-end languages to develop complete solutions
Experience with C#, Java, and/or Go
Experience with JavaScript UI frameworks, such as Angular or React
Ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance, Secret at minimum
Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of experience in software engineering in lieu of a degree
Nice If You Have:
Experience running applications in Kubernetes or a containerized environment
Experience with Helm charts
Experience with AWS, particularly EC2, Lambda, EKS, and IAM
Experience with Terraform
Experience with automated testing tools such as Playwright
Experience with OpenID Connect, OAuth2, and SAML2
Experience with ServiceNow
This position requires a Secret level clearance, and Blackhawk can help with the process to obtain. To obtain clearance for this role, the candidate must be a US Citizen, living within 50 miles of Charlottesville, VA currently.
