🕒 𝐏𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐓𝐲𝐩𝐞: Full-Time

A well-established company within the mining industry is seeking experienced Quarry Managers for operations based in KZN, Nelspruit, and the Western Cape.

𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬:

Fulfil the 3.1(a) Legal Appointment under the MHSA
Oversee daily quarry operations including drilling, blasting, crushing, and haulage
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
Develop and implement mine plans and production schedules
Manage budgets, assets, and resource allocation
Lead and develop site teams while driving a strong safety culture
Liaise with regulatory bodies and participate in inspections and audits
Conduct risk assessments and incident investigations
Monitor production metrics and overall site performance
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiencies

𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐦𝐮𝐦 𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬:

Relevant Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or relevant Trade Test (Red Seal)
Minimum 10 years’ operational mining/quarrying experience
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a management role
Proven track record as a 3.1(a) legal appointee
Medically fit in terms of the Mine Health & Safety Act
Valid Driver’s Licence (Code B)
Willingness to travel when required
