SUMMARY:
Role Title: 1214_ SAP MM Consultant (Functional)
Contract Term: 1 April 2023 - 31 December 2025
Location: Gauteng

POSITION INFO:
ESSENTIAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
Functional:
At least 5 years’ experience in Material Management (MM), focus on Material Master
At least 3 years’ experience with distribution technology ODATA / Idoc
At least 2 years’ experience with SAP Transport / Transport management (Solman)

Technical:
At least 1-2 years’ experience in ABAP Development (Backend)
At least 1 years’ experience with ABAP Objects (Automated testing / APBA Unit tests)

ADVANTAGEOUS SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
Operation experience
Good understanding of the Product Master within S/4 (for eWM)
Experience with Hana / S4 technology e.g. CDS views (SAP Gateway)
Agile Framework experience e.g. scrum
Basic understanding of Streaming technologies such as Kafka

WHICH QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE DO WE NEED FOR THE ROLE?
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field or similar qualification
- 5 years’ experience as a MM consultant
- 2 years’ experience in SAP development

WHAT WILL BE YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES?
Functional refinement and breakdown of requirements (Epics, User Stories) in Material Master for the European as well as for the Overseas BMW plants (e.g. China)
Customizing of the defined Material Planning processes
Migration and Rollout for Material Planning (ECC -> S4)
Testing – create automated test cases (Tosca) and run manual testing
Business Object definition, extraction, and distribution across the entire BMW plant landscape (SAP and Non-SAP)


- Operations – Problem Management
- Operations (3rd level) and on occasion 2nd level (24/7)
