SUMMARY:
Our external client is looking for a Change Manager with 8 - 10 years experience to Implement a Mining Data Management software application to support the full integration across the mine planning value chains, to enable improved efficiencies of operations within mine planning including reducing manual identification and control of the movement of datasets, reducing the risk of rework due to incorrect data. It will also enable the streamlining of planning approvals and reporting. 5 month contract with possibility of extension.

POSITION INFO:
Key tasks:
Implementation of Mining Data Management Software, in a phased approach:

  • Implementing MDM (Mining Data Management) as defined in the Design and Scope documentation; and
  • Providing training to the identified stakeholders across the mine planning functions and OT support personnel.

Will this change have a LOW, MEDIUM or HIGH impact on the organization:
MEDIUM - There are adjustments which will have to be carefully managed

How many employees / users will be impacted by the change:
Less than 100

Sponsorship Support:
Active and visible executive sponsorship is the number one success factor for major change initiatives.
Is Sponsorship support required in terms of assisting the Sponsor in their role of supporting the Project Team, Key Stakeholders and End users throughout the Project Lifecycle? Yes

Stakeholder Management:
Stakeholders play an important role in any change initiative as they are instrumental in driving and supporting the change.
Is sound Stakeholder Management a critical element of ensuring project success in terms of:
·       Identifying individual Key Stakeholders and Stakeholder groups
·       Conducting regular interviews with individuals / groups to analyse expectations and concerns
·       Managing requirements
Providing information to Stakeholders on a consistent basis

Communication:
Communication is the most effective tool an organisation can use to obtain acceptance of change.  Without effective communication, change is impossible and change management fails. Which of the following are applicable to this change effort:
