SUMMARY:
Our client is recruiting for a Programme Manager for a 3 month contract, renewable depending on performance. Position based in Johannesburg Northern suburbs. 1 position available. 3 months probation with aim to renew.

POSITION INFO:
Purpose:

The Programme Manager as per the build and transition function is not the standard definition of a Programme Manager. The Programme Manager in our definition will be responsible for multiple individual projects in Networks and Collaboration and is accountable for the successful delivery of the programme projects.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for managing one or more highly complex or enterprise wide IT programmes consisting of multiple projects.
• Senior level management with overall responsibility for the management of a programme consisting of multiple projects.
• Oversee the development and maintenance of an integrated programme plan
• Develop the programme strategy, supporting business case and governance controls.
• Aligning the deliverables (outputs) to the program’s “outcome” with the aid of the business change manager.
• Ensuring all Projects are registered at the PMO and that the Global PMO governance is being adhered to.
• Manage the interactions between suppliers/outsource providers, in-house teams and customers necessary to deliver complex projects.
• Manage delivery of the programme plan, providing direction and co-ordination of resources.
• Work with the Project(s) / Project Managers to ensure successful delivery of their Project(s).
• Support the supplier in achieving key milestones and ensure all company dependencies and pre-requisites are met.
• Manage internal and external dependencies on the programme.
• Manage change within the programme as per the agreed process and tolerances.
• Identify, manage, plan and/or escalate programme risks and issues.
• Manage the interrelationship between deadline, functionality, risk, budget and quality.
• Accurately track and report progress to the Portfolio Manager.
• Manage stakeholders’ communication through the project team.
• Ensure projects are managed effectively, adhering to governance, delivery, budget control, reporting and change management processes.
• Ensure projects provide regular high quality, accurate and complete status reports.
• Monitor, review and provide an objective overview of project progress.
• Support and act as an effective escalation point for the Project(s) / Project Managers.
• Managing and utilizing technical/solution architect resources across projects
• Ensure quality, accuracy and consistency of output and deliverables.
• Represent issues at the Programme boards and owns any actions passed down from the board.
