SUMMARY:
Datacentrix is looking for ISP 2nd Line Support Engineer with +3 years practical networking skills in IPv4, MTU and VLAN. He/She must have good understanding of DNS including on types of records and troubleshooting – Bind, powerDNS, unbound, Configure IP phones and troubleshoot call issues (VoIP) and Mikrotik and Cisco experience.

Requirements

Matric Qualification & Tertiary qualification
Basic Linux command line skills
excellent practical networking skills (N+ qualification and 5+ years experience)

(IPv4) understanding
MTU
Trouble shooting
VLAN understanding

Network troubleshooting (WAN connectivity)
ADSL troubleshooting
Wireless networks
Good understanding of DNS including on types of records and troubleshooting – Bind, powerDNS, unbound
Configure IP phones and troubleshoot call issues (VoIP)
Mikrotik and Cisco experience
Experience working in an ISP environment.
Valid Driver’s License and own vehicle
