SUMMARY:
We are seeking a motivated Asset Audit Intern to support our Asset Management team in maintaining accurate asset records across multiple operational sites. This position involves a mix of fieldwork and administrative tasks, ideal for a detail-oriented candidate looking to gain real-world experience in a fast-paced waste management environment.

POSITION INFO:
Job Summary
The Asset Intern will support the Asset Management team in ensuring accurate asset tracking and system updates across various operational sites. This role combines fieldwork and administrative duties, making it ideal for a technically inclined individual with strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced waste management environment.

Responsibilities

Assist in updating and maintaining asset data in the Asset Management System
Conduct basic mechanical inspections on company equipment and assets
Perform drilling tasks where necessary for tagging of asset identification
Support fieldwork activities including the verification, tagging, and auditing of assets
Ensure accuracy and completeness of asset records, both digital and physical.
Assist in preparing asset reports and documentation
Liaise with internal departments to coordinate asset-related tasks
Uphold company safety and operational standards during fieldwork

Requirements

Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle (essential)
Minimum matric /grade 12 equivalent
Basic mechanical knowledge and manual handling experience
Experience or comfort with drilling tools or similar equipment
Proficiency in computer literacy, especially Excel and data entry

Employment will be implemented in accordance with the Employment Equity Act.
