AA Internal Auditor

SUMMARY:
Our client, a giant in the FMCG arena, seeks an AA Internal Auditor. Reporting to the Internal Audit Manager, the successful incumbent will be responsible for providing an effective and efficient internal audit service to all operations within the Group.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum Job Requirements:

• B.Com Degree in Internal Auditing or similar.
• CISA/CIA qualified or completed articles, pref. with a large auditing firm, or significant progress to such qualifications.
• IIA Membership.
• Proven audit experience in a manufacturing and/or commercial operating environment will be beneficial (FMCG preferred).
• Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience in Internal Audit.
• Proven track record in effective business partnering and modernised IA methods.
• Adept at assessing financial/operational/compliance processes, identifying risks and helping the business to identify remedial action.
• High level of proficiency in MS Office programmes.
• Willingness to travel frequently to Group operations outside of SA.

Key Performance Areas:

• Develop excellent working relationships with all Internal Audit’s key stakeholders to facilitate open and honest communication as a trusted business partner.
• Perform audit fieldwork per the approved audit plan.
• Assist in the evaluation of existing control systems to ascertain whether these are adequate and operating as intended.
• Perform audit assignments with adherence to the requirements of Group policies, procedures and the Internal Audit guidelines, including the preparation of a draft audit report on the results of internal audit work performed and updating of ARC software for all audit work performed.
• Evaluate existing control systems to ascertain whether these are in compliance with the Financial Control Framework (FCF) and relevant company policies / procedures.
• Assist in evaluating if entities are performing their control functions of planning, accounting, custodial and monitoring to the degree expected by management.
• Assist in highlight areas of non-compliance to management and recommending cost effective enhancements to systems and procedures.
• Prepare a draft report on the results of internal audit work performed.
• Assisting in performing follow ups with management and monitoring outstanding audit logs to ensure that management actions are implemented in a timely manner.
• Assist in the administration and use of data analytic software for all Group operations.
• Update ARC software for all audit work performed.
• Prepare audit logs, quarterly reports and Audit Committee papers.
• Assist in performing consulting services (including special investigations).
• Assist in evaluating if entities are complying with statutory requirements and company policies.
• Ensure that audits are conducted in accordance with the IIA standards and in a professional manner.
