AA Management Accountant

SUMMARY:
This longstanding FMCG client currently seeks an AA Management Accountant: Budget Administration.

POSITION INFO:

Essential:

• National Diploma or B.Com Degree in Finance or Financial Accounting.
• Minimum 2 years budget administration experience in a medium to large organisation.
• A proven track record in a financial environment with a thorough understanding of financial, cost and management accounting practices and procedures.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Proficiency in Syspro, SAP or equivalent.

The Person:

• An individual with exceptional organizational and self-management skills, who excels in anything to do with budgets.
• A person who is comfortable dealing with senior internal and external customers and has a strong preference for working within established procedures and regulations.
• Pays close attention to detail and is thorough and meticulous in their presentation of work.

The Job:

• Drafting, consolidation and administration of budgets, including the monthly monitoring of budget variances.
• Annual budget preparation and monthly controls, in close consultation with Departmental Managers in the division and with internal stakeholders.
• Monthly budget administration including advice to Managers regarding effective budget utilisation.
• Ensuring that relevant financial information is conveyed timeously and accurately to the Director in a logical and understandable format.
• Continuous assessment of business risk and good corporate governance practices in accordance with the financial policies and procedures of the company.
