SUMMARY:
Our client, with an extensive network of regional retail outlets, as well as a corporate client base, is currently looking for a suitably qualified and experienced AA Regional Category Manager - IT Hardware & Supplies.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor''s Degree.
  • Min 3 to 4 years’ experience in a Sales Representative role or similar.
  • Experience in a Key Account Manager role would be an advantage.
  • Strong on business development by sourcing new sales opportunities.
  • Sound sale background and ability to provide product support and customer service.
  • Proven track record of over-achieving quota.
  • Strong administration, marketing and sales acumen.
  • Consultative seller, who is able to maintain and grow the portfolio.

Responsibilities:

  • Increase sales and profitability of the category to drive sustainable growth.
  • Check and ensure that all rebates are accurate and relevant to related sales.
  • Ensure that contracts/pricing are up to date and done in a timeous manner.
  • Develop strong relationships with suppliers / distributors.
  • Drive and develop relationships with clients (new and existing).
  • Marketing the category through regional promotions.
  • Devise and control cold calling and blitz days.
  • Spend and invest time in the branches – commercial and retail.
  • Create specials and promotions to increase product and brand awareness.
  • Create and develop a long term plan of action and strategy for the category.
  • Work together with clients and Sales teams to translate customer insights into strategies which will then drive performance.
  • Identify prospects and risks and develop appropriate strategies for each client.
  • Analyse data and insights to determine consumer trends and increase sales.
  • Organise product training to be implemented at all branches on a regular basis – commercial and retail.
  • Plan and execute customer events that will drive and promote the category.
  • Develop strong working relationships with Procurement, Sales teams, Accounts, the Management team in KZN and the National Category Specialist.
  • Motivate and inspire Sales teams to achieve higher performance.
  • Ability to operate at strategic, tactical and operational levels.
  • Analyse and develop appropriate reports.
  • Visit clients with the Sales Consultants on a regular basis.
