SUMMARY:
Our client, a global manufacturing company, currently seeks a qualified, highly experienced and dynamic SHERQ Manager, to manage and uphold the complete SHERQ function of the business.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • B.Sc/National Diploma in Chemistry/Engineering.
  • 5 to 10 years extensive experience in a Management role, in a manufacaturing envirnment.
  • In-depth understanding of manufacturing SHERQ practices.
  • Legislative and ISO systems knowledge pertaining to safety, health, environmental and quality would be a distinct advantage.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft packages and understanding of business systems is a necessity.

Responsibilities include but not limited to managing and controlling the entire SHERQ function as follows:

  • Participate in Global SHERQ initiatives.
  • Health and Safety, Environmental, Responsible Care and Quality Assurance Management Systems.
  • Risk Management - identify and manage all risks faced by the company.
  • SHERQ support and Continuous Improvement Initiatives.
  • Lead, direct and manage the SHERQ department team.
  • Product stewardship and field safety.
  • Compliance and communication with all internal/external Legislation, Regulatory Compliance and stakeholder (public, customers and Corporate) requirements.
  • Facilities management (security, building, landscaping and clinic).
  • Manage and implement Continuous Improvements and projects .
